I am a public relations practitioner. Public relations practitioners create and maintain a favorable public image for the organization we represent. We craft media releases and develop social media programs to shape public perception of our organization and to increase awareness of its work and goals.
From my experiences, I had achieved some of my own targets. For example, I have hold a small event required by our client at their property located in order to attract family to have a visit on it. Throughout the process of planning, executing and evaluating. I has learned many things on it, words cannot fully describe my feeling. Besides that, corporate with my event team members to ensure other event programs run smoothly is also one of my achievements. Client proposed an amount of money to us in order to make their organization well-known to the public and also make their loyalty from the customer to the organization more strong. What we have done is, we plan and propose our creative ideas to our client, and the client will decide whether to implement our ideas or make some changes to it to become perfect. The total number of the events that I had done during my internship are 19 events in three months. These were great experiences and targets that I had accomplished.
The reason why we are a social media professional. Have a conversation with management about social media. We bring up social media efforts during staff meetings to keep everyone informed about what we are doing and to open dialogue about policies and best practices.Secondly, we make time management part of our social media strategy. There are many ways to incorporate social media into our workday without having it take over. For example, set aside a five- or 10-minute break to share or retweet something of interest or to post something beneficial to your employer. Resist the temptation to post on your personal accounts.
Lastly, always remember that we are representing our employer. We must practice self-policing. Things that interest me personally may not be something I should share on a professional account.
